Luigi Mangione: What we know about man charged with murdering healthcare boss Brian Thompson

Luigi Mangione has been charged over the killing of UnitedHealthcare boss Brian Thompson in New York last week.

The 26-year-old was initially arrested on a firearms charge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, but has now been charged with murder.

Here's what we know about him so far.

Arrested in McDonald's with 'ghost gun'

Mangione was arrested on Monday after a tip-off from a McDonald's employee who recognised him from the police appeals.

Altoona is around 230 miles (370km) west of New York, in the state of Pennsylvania.

Officers said he had a silencer and a gun "both consistent with the weapon used in the murder".
