Fortnite Refund Policy Overview:

Epic Games has a system in place for Fortnite players to request refunds for unwanted or accidental in-game purchases. Players are entitled to three Return Tickets to use for refunds on items purchased from the Fortnite Item Shop. If you regret buying something, these tickets allow you to return the item and get your V-Bucks (the game's currency) refunded, as long as the purchase was made in the past 30 days​


Additionally, a lawsuit settlement has mandated that Epic Games issue refunds to players for purchases made due to "unlawful billing practices". The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) found that Epic Games used misleading design techniques known as "dark patterns" that caused players to make unintended purchases​


. This has led to a compensation process where eligible players can claim refunds, with more than $72 million set aside for the players who qualify​

r players looking to request a refund, the process is relatively simple. You need to go to the Fortnite website and follow the steps to claim the refund. This can be done by either using your Return Ticket or by filling out the refund claim form if you're part of the FTC settlement, which is available only to US-based players for now​

. The deadline for filing a claim in relation to the FTC settlement is January 10, 2025​
